Path of Exile 3.26: Best New Unique Items and Farm

Jun-18-2025 PST

Path of Exile's 3.26 patch, part of the Secrets of the Atlas expansion, introduced over 20 new unique items. These uniques are more than just gear—they often define how a build functions or open up entirely new ways to play. Some come with powerful bonuses, but they also carry significant drawbacks. In this guide, we'll highlight some of the strongest unique items added in 3.26, how to use them properly, and how you can farm at least one guaranteed unique item during the campaign.

Enmity's Embrace – Vermillion Ring

This unique ring is built around fire damage. Its main feature is that your fire damage penetrates fire resistance equal to the amount you are overcapped. So if your fire resistance is 90% and the regular cap is 75%, you gain 15% fire resistance penetration.

This can significantly increase your damage against bosses with high fire resistance. The problem is that Enmity's Embrace reduces your fire resistance by a massive amount—55 to 65%. It doesn't subtract a flat number; instead, it reduces all sources of fire resistance by a multiplier. For example, if you had 40% fire resistance from gear, the ring would bring that down to about 18%. This means you need to overstack fire resistance more than usual to make the ring worthwhile and to not die from fire damage.

One of the best ways to use Enmity's Embrace is with the Chieftain ascendancy. Chieftain naturally gives bonuses to fire resistance, life recovery, and fire damage, which help balance out the ring's drawbacks. It's also a good fit for builds using the Volcanic Fissure of Snaking skill. This skill hits hard but slowly, which helps because the ring punishes frequent skill use by causing self-inflicted fire damage. Avoid builds that rely on spamming skills rapidly or triggering multiple skills at once.

If you want to use this ring, your Path Of Exile currency, gear and passive tree need to push fire resistance far beyond 75%. A Mageblood belt helps here, since it can let you run multiple resistance-boosting flasks. You should also use Wave of Conviction or curses like Flammability to reduce enemy fire resistance further. When done correctly, this ring can make your fire build hit twice as hard against endgame bosses.

To get Enmity's Embrace, you need to kill the Incarnation of Fear, a new boss added in 3.26. This boss appears as part of the new endgame boss rotation tied to the Atlas passive tree.

Betrayal's Sting – Steel Ring

Betrayal's Sting is one of the top new rings for poison builds. It grants a 25–40% chance to inflict an additional poison whenever you poison an enemy. It also adds flat physical damage to attacks, provides extra Dexterity, gives 5% increased movement speed, and boosts your chaos resistance by 20–30%.

However, the downside is that it reduces your elemental resistances by 20–30%, which is not something you can ignore, especially in the midgame when gearing up.

This ring works best on poison builds that scale with attack speed and physical damage. Assassin, Trickster, and Deadeye are all good ascendancies to pair with Betrayal's Sting. The Assassin can push poison duration and damage very far, while Trickster gives a good energy shield and evasion. Deadeye works well with bows or skills like Cobra Lash or Poisonous Concoction.

To deal with the elemental resistance penalty, you can use flasks like Ruby, Sapphire, and Topaz flasks with resistance mods, or focus on resistance nodes on your passive tree. The chaos resistance boost the ring gives is a nice bonus and helps against bosses that deal chaos damage, like Sirus or some endgame mapping content.

Because poison damage is chaos-based and not affected by elemental resistance, the downside of Betrayal's Sting is usually worth the tradeoff.

How to Get a Guaranteed Unique Item in PoE 3.26

There's a secret in 3.26 that allows you to get one guaranteed unique item during the campaign. This isn't based on drop rates or trading—it's something you can do solo on every character. It involves activating glowing tiles in certain areas.

Here's the step-by-step process:

1. Go to Solaris Temple Level 1. Walk around until you find a glowing tile on the ground. Stand on it until 6 blue flames appear around it. This is the first part of the hidden mechanic.

2. Next, head to Lunaris Temple Level 1. Again, look for a glowing tile and stand on it. Another 6 flames will appear, bringing the total to 12.

3. After that, go to the Grand Promenade area. There you'll find a third glowing tile. Stand on it, and if you've activated the previous two, a secret door will open nearby.

4. Enter the newly opened treasure room and open the chest inside. This chest will drop one guaranteed unique item. The drop is random but comes from a curated pool of unique items that are generally helpful during the leveling process.

This secret mechanic can be done once per character, so it's useful even for SSF players who can't trade. If you're starting a new league or playing without outside help, this free unique item can give you a big advantage early on.

Other Notable Uniques in 3.26

Aside from Enmity's Embrace and Betrayal's Sting, a few other new uniques in 3.26 stand out.

· Hollow Palm Core (Unique Jewel): This jewel lets you use the Hollow Palm Technique keystone without speccing into it manually. It's used in unarmed melee builds that stack Dexterity for massive physical damage. These builds often wear no weapons or gloves and scale off Dexterity using Cyclone or Infernal Blow.

· Deathdrinker's Vow (Carnal Armour): This body armour adds chaos damage to attacks, gives life leech on kill, and boosts your damage after a recent kill. It lacks defensive stats, so it's meant for glass cannon builds that don't mind low armor or evasion as long as they can keep killing enemies quickly.

· Veil of Affliction (Hubris Circlet): This helmet boosts chaos DoT multiplier and offers energy shield-related bonuses. It's a strong choice for builds that use Bane, Blight, or Essence Drain. It gives you a boost in both offense and defense if you're stacking chaos DoT.

Conclusion

PoE 3.26 adds some of the most interesting and powerful unique items we've seen in recent patches. Most of them are not just stat sticks—they offer big bonuses at the cost of serious penalties, which means they aren't for every build. If you're willing to plan your build around their mechanics, these uniques can help you scale to high-tier mapping and bossing faster than before.

If you're playing solo, the guaranteed unique item from the hidden campaign event is a big help. It's easy to trigger, doesn't require special gear or map progression, and gives you a good starting boost.

Whether you're pushing into endgame or starting a new SSF character, it's worth learning how to use these new uniques and keeping an eye out for them as you explore the 3.26 league. Many of them can make a huge difference in how your build feels and performs, especially if you take the time to build around them properly.
