If you’re planning to head out, here’s a complete breakdown of what’s changing, what carries over, and how to prepare.
A Fresh Departure Awaits
The second Expedition allows players to restart their journey with a new Raider while benefiting from extra buffs, expanded stash space, and additional Skill Points. Whether you fully completed the first Expedition or fell short of its requirements, this new cycle is designed to reward commitment while ensuring no one is left permanently behind.
Before departure, the developers want Raiders to have complete clarity on how progression, rewards, and bonuses will work—starting with a key change driven by player feedback.
Lowered Stash Requirement for Maximum Rewards
One of the biggest updates comes straight from the community. Many players felt that the original Stash value requirement for maximum rewards was too demanding. In response, the requirement has been reduced to 3 million Coins, down to 600,000 Coins per Skill Point.
Reaching this threshold still grants the full reward of 5 Skill Points, making the goal significantly more achievable while preserving its value for dedicated Raiders.
Introducing the Skill Point Catch-Up Mechanic
For Raiders who didn’t manage to earn all possible Skill Points during the first Expedition, ARC Raiders is introducing a catch-up system.
This system allows players to reclaim missed Skill Points at a heavily discounted Coin cost, reducing the long-term penalty of falling short in earlier Expeditions. Each Expedition lowers the total Coin investment needed to reach the maximum Skill Point total, rewarding long-term participation.
How It Works in the Second Expedition
· Each missing Skill Point from the first Expedition can be reclaimed for 300,000 Coins.
· When departing on the second Expedition, ARC Raiders Coins will first contribute toward Skill Points for the current Expedition.
· Any excess Coins will then be applied toward missing Skill Points from the first Expedition.
This structure rewards players who hit targets early while ensuring that others can gradually close the gap over time. However, it’s important to note that rewards and requirements may change in future Expeditions, and bonus Skill Points will not be available indefinitely.
Rewards for New and Returning Raiders
First-Time Expedition Players
Players embarking on their first Expedition will receive the full set of rewards from the initial Expedition, ensuring no content is missed by late arrivals.
Returning Raiders: Stacking Rewards and Progression
For those continuing into their second Expedition, the rewards expand significantly:
· More Stash space
· Additional Skill Points
· Expanded cosmetic options
· Stacking buffs for consecutive Expeditions
Permanent bonuses earned in previous Expeditions are retained even if a Raider chooses not to depart again, while certain buffs only apply to uninterrupted participation in Expeditions.
Cosmetics and Outfit Upgrades
Returning Raiders will see meaningful cosmetic progression:
· The Patchwork outfit evolves further, gaining four additional toggles and two new color options.
· A brand-new Scrappy outfit is unlocked for second Expedition participants.
· The Expedition Indicator icon upgrades with each completed Expedition, serving as a visible badge of experience.
These cosmetic upgrades are permanent and remain available regardless of future participation.
What Stays Untouched
Not everything resets when you depart. The following elements are fully preserved across Expeditions:
· Trophy Display Project
· All cosmetics
· Raider Deck progress
· Unlocked map regions
· Leaderboard position
· Trials
· Codex entries
· Raider Tokens
This ensures that long-term achievements and collection-based progress remain intact, even as your Raider embarks on a new cycle.
